Blowing Bubbles

It's a simple form of fun, yet it promotes child development. Blow bubbles with your child!

Blowing bubbles is an activity that speeds development because it helps toddles control their breathing. It also allows them to carryout complex mouth movements which help develop language skills.

It develops small muscles in your child's mouth as they round their lips and this in turn strengths these muscles to form clear sounds when speaking, swallowing and eating. It allows you to target early sound and word development e.g., p,p,p, pop.

This sensory activity is the foundation for swimming and is an easy, delightful activity to encourage movement and coordination of the body.

It strengthens eye-hand coordination, improving tracking and provides tactile feedback about temperature, pressure, vibration and texture.

It help calm , relax and ground the mind as it stimulates proprioceptive senses ( perception of awareness of the position and movement of the body).

It sharpens listening skills and allows for social cooperation and sharing.

Give your child the opportunity to use the wand and use an already blown up bubble to practice blowing if they struggle.

Happy popping !!!!
